When and how can I reach the reception?
Our reception is open from 6.30 am till 8.00/10 pm. Our team you reach by e-mail (info@hotel-frauenfeld.ch) or by phone under +41 52 551 05 05.
At what time is check-in?
Your hotel room is available from 2pm. In case of an earlier arrival please contact us prior to your stay.
I am arriving by car. Are there parking spaces?
Our HOTEL FRAUENFELD offers covered outdoor parking spaces as well as parking spaces in the car park / underground car park. Please note that you will need your key card to access the car park. Unfortunately, access is not possible without a card.
I'm travelling by train. How do I get to the HOTEL FRAUENFELD?
Our HOTEL FRAUENFELD is located outside the centre of Frauenfeld. From Frauenfeld railway station you can reach us with the bus lines B22 and B1 - the journey takes about 5 minutes. Please note that the bus stop is not directly at our hotel. After getting off the bus you have to take a short walk (B22 - Osterhalden: 250 meters / B1 - Sonnmatt: 400 m). Alternatively we recommend to take a taxi from Frauenfeld station.
I plan to stay longer at the HOTEL FRAUENFELD. Do you offer special rates for longer stays?
For guests who wish to stay longer we offer our HOMES category - spacy studios with 35 sqm, own kitchenette and weekly room cleaning including change of linen. Please contact us!
Can I bring my dog?
Small dogs are very welcome at HOTEL FRAUENFELD. Please note that your dog is not allowed to stay unattended in the room. Please contact us before your arrival. Information: right next door there is a shop with dog supplies, a modern veterinary practice and a dog groomer.
Is WiFi available at Hotel Frauenfeld?
HOTEL FRAUENFELD offers Highspeed-WiFi in all rooms as well as in public areas. Free of charge!
Does my room have air conditioning?
Our rooms have a controlled ventilation system. Some rooms have a ceiling fan (double room attic) - we are happy to provide floor fans for the other rooms.
Are there non-smoking rooms?
Our HOTEL FRAUENFELD is a non-smoking hotel. All rooms are non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted in the outside areas or on the balconies. We ask you to show consideration for non-smoking guests.
I am arriving outside reception hours? How do I get access to the hotel?
For arrivals outside our reception hours, we can either leave a room card in our key box or send you a digital key (if we know your mobile number) in advance. Please note that for both options, payment for your room must be guaranteed.
We travel with children. Do you offer baby beds or extra beds?
For babies we have the possibility to place baby beds in your room at any time. Additional beds can be placed in some rooms. In order to be able to use this service, we ask you to inform us accordingly when you make your booking.
My room has a great view to the countryside. How do I protect myself from insects?
Each of our rooms has protection against insects - either our rooms are equipped with insect protection swing doors or with protective roller blinds.
There is a car wash at the Hotel Frauenfeld. Isn't it loud in the room?
Correct - at our object there is a car wash and a car service centre. However, it is not loud in the room. This is ensured by massive front doors, which resist noise, heat and cold.
At what time can I have breakfast?
We serve our breakfast buffet from monday - mriday from 06.30 am - 09.00 am and on weekends / holidays from 07.30 am - 10.00 am. If you leave before our breakfast times, we will be happy to prepare a breakfast bag for you. The same applies to the wish for a later breakfast.
What does your breakfast buffet include?
We love breakfast - accordingly comprehensive, fresh and alternating is our breakfast buffet, which our team prepares for you with dedication. Our breakfast buffet includes: very very good coffee, various bread and bakery products, muesli, nuts, dried fruits, various kinds of cheese and yoghurt, numerous sausages, fresh fruits and juices. If you have a food intolerance please inform us accordingly.
Is there a minibar in my room?
Unfortunately no - if you wish to have a minibar in your room, this service can be added at any time. Alternatively we have a MAXIBAR in the breakfast room. Please feel free to drop by.
Is there a restaurant at HOTEL FRAUENFELD?
Our HOTEL FRAUENFELD does not have a classic restaurant. But of course we serve small meals in our dining room.
Can I get warm drinks at HOTEL FRAUENFELD?
We are pleased to inform you about our unique service FREE COFFEE, TEA & Water. There are no additional costs for these drinks. Unbelievable how we find!
There are books in my room. Why?
We love books and reading while travelling. For this reason we offer you a small selection of books in your room. In our lobby you will find more interesting literature in our bookstore. If you would like to take a book home with you, please contact our team. For a small fee you can take your book with you at any time.
I'm expecting collegues for breakfast. My guests are not staying at the hotel. Is this possible?
We warmly welcome all guests - even without a stay in our house. Just book breakfast for your guests at the reception.
Is smoking in rooms allowed?
All rooms are non smoking rooms. Please note that smoking in the room results in additional costs for cleaning etc. We would also like to point out that smoking in the room can trigger a fire alarm - all costs for the deployment of the local fire brigade (currently CHF 1'800.- per deployment) will be charged directly to the person causing the fire. Our proposal: enjoy your smoke in the outdoor areas or on your balcony.
What payment methods do you offer?
HOTEL FRAUENFELD accepts all common credit and debit cards. Cash payment in CHF and EUR is of course also possible.
Do you offer a laundry service?
Of course we offer a laundry service. In your room you will find all details. Our guests can also use the launderette with washing machines and dryers / tumble dryers for their own use. For each machine we charge CHF 10.
I'm staying longer and I want to prepare food by myself. Is that possible?
For guests with a stay of a few days we have set up a kitchen for common use. Please inform us at check-in if you wish to use this service. We charge CHF 10 per day for the use of the kitchen.
At what time do I have to check-out?
Our regular check-out time is 11:00 am. If you would like to stay longer in your room please contact our team at the reception.
I am leaving before breakfast hours. What do you offer?
In case of an early departure we will be happy to arrange a breakfast bag for you. Just contact the reception the evening before your departure.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel after check-out for a later pickup?
Of course we will take care of your luggage after your check-out. A later pickup is possible in any case.
I left something in my hotel room. What do I do?
Please contact us immediately after your departure if you have forgotten anything in your room. Of course we will do our utmost to return the forgotten item to you. Unfortunately, we have to charge you for the costs of packing and transport.
I enjoyed my stay at HOTEL FRAUENFELD and already plan to come back.
We are pleased if you make bookings for your further stays directly in our house.
